Configuring my research PLE

Image
1. To be an active member of the research community it is essential to use professional social networks. Examples include ResearchGate or LinkedIn, although mainstream social networks such as Twitter can also be extremely useful. Social networks in research have many applications, but mainly they focus on providing us with visibility by allowing us to disseminate our publications or by acting as a digital curriculum vitae which interested people can access at any given time. Social networking services are essential for the 2.0 researcher. 2. 3. I think this seminar has been useful as an overall review of the 2.o researcher and professional social networks. Nevertheless, being 'obligated' to register for social networks to pass the course is a step too far, in my opinion. I think using social networks, despite being extremely useful, should always remain a choice. ResearchGate: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Tim-Schuurman-2

Who is AnNA?

Image
AnNA stands for 'Anatomical Network Analysis'. AnNA is a methodology which employs principles of 'Network Theory', a framework for understanding graphs, to study macroscopic anatomical systems. I use AnNA to study the major regions of the brain and how they relate structurally to the surrounding brain case in extant and extinct primate species. If you're interested in learning more about AnNA and neuroanatomy in general, I also participate in another blog called 'The Skull Box': https://skullandbrain.wordpress.com/   ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9780-0973 About.me: https://about.me/timschuurman/edit/emailsignature Google Scholar: Find me on Google Scholar .
